ICON is a concept coffee shop and event space in the heart of Manhattan.

Ultimately, it's a love letter to the Garment District. It honors its history and offers a moment to inspire connection and creativity, by incorporating interactive elements, like a pinboard wall and vintage mannequins that visitors can dress. It also offers a glimpse into the district's past, with vintage pieces, art and photogrphy, and tools of the trade on display throughout.

Inspired by the neighborhood I've been a fixture in for ten years, I saw an opportunity for a creative community space that the neighborhood is sorely missing, to offer visitors a piece of the industry's legacy, and hopefully inspire its future for the better.

ICON is designed to scale. Its name and mark are confident while being open to interpretation, with the ‘O’ being a blank slate that can be easily adapted to fit any neighborhood or creative industry it represents. In this case, it mirrors the famous ‘Button and Needle’ statue, a landmark and symbol of the fashion industry.
